It’s me again, from the front of this website. Just an expanded bit about me if you’re interested!
For as long as I can remember, I have loved art and creating. Whether it was using my imagination as a child or producing multimedia content as an adult, creativity has always been a passion of mine. I have been working in social media since 2017, which started after I graduated college in 2016 with a BA in multimedia.
To gain experience, I traveled to New York City, where I had the opportunity to work with some fantastic companies. In 2017, I interned at Bookstr, a social media company in SoHo, Manhattan, that focuses on the love of books. After six months at Bookstr, I moved on to Play Rugby USA in Midtown Manhattan, where I took on the role of communications intern.
I returned to Ireland after 1 year and began my job search. It was tough and full of disappointment. That was until I landed on my feet in Limerick with Parker Bond LTD. Parker Bond was a company with many businesses in Limerick City. The powerhouse of the Old Quarter Pub, Cafe and Townhouse, the relaxing Top House Bar & Grill as well as a few other businesses were all under my social media management from 2019 until 2024. Now for a bit of a sad story. In 2021, I was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-Cell ALL, Blood Cancer). It came from nowhere and was a shock to my world. I have gone through months of Isolation Treatment to get into remission…only to relapse 3 months out of hospital. I received an Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant in May 2023 and am back to my new normal. I’m open about my cancer experience and have written a few pieces on it as it happened. Now that I have my health back, I have been working with the Irish Cancer Society since May 2024 with the Relay for Life Event in Midleton, Cork.
